More male passion

Best friends! Why testosterone and fenugreek seeds go so well together.

When most people hear the word testosterone, they think of “typical” male attributes. Potency, strength, stamina, beard growth and in fact these characteristics, as well as sperm production are significantly influenced by testosterone. But women also need testosterone. Similar to men, it increases muscle building and general performance, blood formation and libido are stimulated. During the time of ovulation, the female body actually produces more testosterone and desire increases.

What is testosterone?

Testosterone is an androgen (sex hormone) that occurs in both men and women, but differs in number and amount between the sexes. Testosterone is produced primarily in the gonads (testes) in men and in the ovaries and adrenal cortex in women.

The continuous decrease in testosterone levels associated with the aging process of men is nowadays beyond question and testosterone deficiency is the most common disorder of hormone balance in men. Testosterone acts practically in all organs of the body and influences not only the male libido. It stimulates the build-up of muscles, bone density and positively influences fat and sugar metabolism in a gender-unspecific way. It even affects the psyche and a deficiency can lead to listlessness, low mood and even depression.

From the age of 25, testosterone levels fall by about 1% per year. The consequences are declining libido, lack of energy and fatigue, sleep disturbances and dwindling muscle and manhood. With high interindividual dispersion, the average decrease in blood levels of testosterone causes androgen deficiency to occur in about 20 to 30% of men after the age of 50.

To avoid problems for as long as possible, you have to take countermeasures. Testosterone has enemies that should be avoided. These include alcohol, nicotine, lack of sleep, stress, painkillers, blood pressure-lowering drugs and lack of exercise. But testosterone also has friends: namely, the balanced lifestyle with a healthy diet and adapted exercise. The best friend of the male hormone is the medicinal plant fenugreek.

But what can fenugreek do for testosterone?

In the blood, testosterone is 98% bound to proteins such as albumin or the sex hormone producing globulin (SHBG). However, according to current doctrine, testosterone can only perform its function in its free (bioavailable) form.

Thermally processed fenugreek seeds can naturally increase testosterone levels. High dose extracts of fenugreek seed can almost double the amount of bioavailable testosterone, this can give a 60 year old the testosterone level of a 40 year old.

The increased testosterone production of the body has been proven in several scientific studies. The phytohormones contained in fenugreek, especially the saponins, play an essential role here. Saponins must be thermally treated with high temperatures, otherwise they cannot be optimally used by the body. Through this process of activation, the seed can develop its optimal effect.

Andropeak® offers a particularly high concentration of the all-important fenugreek seed. It makes a significant contribution to increasing testosterone, as well as improving muscle and also manhood strength with these high-dose extracts of fenugreek seeds combined with iron, selenium, zinc and vitamin B6.
